I always get excited when I’m given the opportunity to try out a new skincare line, and the Xtend-Life Eternal Beauty Collection offered to send me samples. Its Kanapa™ skincare formula from New Zealand was inspired by the Maori and is made with native botanicals from that area. Kanapa means “be bright” and it’s formulated to give your skin extra radiance and a youthful glow.
What’s special about Xtend-Life is that it works both internally and externally because it also has a line of dietary supplements. One is Omega 3 Premium, which is a pure fish oil concentrate from South Pacific tuna and New Zealand hoki. It also contains skin enhancing antioxidants, astaxanthin, and lycopene to help repair skin and protect it from the sun.
The other is Skin Support made with French marine collagen, elastin polypeptides, and New Zealand grape seed extract. It helps reduce wrinkles, promotes hair thicker hair growth and strong, healthy nails. You will usually get results in less than 30 days.
It included Age Defying Serum with Whitening, Age Defying Sheer Day and Night, Foaming Facial Cleanser, and Eye Contour Cream. Inside were steps for Eternal Beauty. This is what you are supposed to do each day.
Step 1: Take 3 capsules of Skin Support and 2 capsules of Omega 3 Premium daily with or without food
Step 2: Massage Foaming Facial Cleanser onto your damp skin morning and night and rinse thoroughly.
Step 3: Apply Age Defying Serum with Whitening into cleansed skin.
Step 4: Wait a few minutes for the serum to sink in. Then, apply Age Defying Day and Night in an upward and outward motion.
Step 5: Gently apply the Eye Contour Cream around your eyes.
In addition to the Xtend-LIfe Beauty Collection, the company offers a skin care line for men and a full range of natural supplements for women, men, and children and high-quality superfoods produced in New Zealand.
My Xtend-Life skincare products review
Foaming Facial Cleanser – Because it’s a foam and not creamy it depends on what you’re looking for in a cleanser. Two of its ingredients are New Zealand Kiwi Fruit and Manuka Honey and feels light on my face. It promotes natural healing, pH balance and will cleanse impurities from your skin. I’d say it’s best for normal to oily skin, but if you have super dry skin, you may want to use a cream cleanser instead.
Age Defying Serum with Whitening – I have been blessed (not) with sunspots, from spending time in the sun growing up near the beach, so a serum with whitening is just what I need. It’s made with a marine peptide and was developed using advanced stem cell technology. I found it to be gentle, which is important because some serums can be irritating.
Age Defying Sheer Day and Night –It can be frustrating having to use a separate day and night cream so I wanted to see how it would work as an all in one cream. Some of the ingredients include seed butter, aloe leaf, milk thistle, and jojoba. I have dry skin and usually require a heavy cream but even though it’s light it made my skin feel satiny smooth. I also love that it’s paraben, BPA & fragrance-free. There is no SPF in the formula, but I didn’t mind because it usually irritates my face. When used over a period of 6-weeks, it will reduce the appearance of wrinkles by 34%.
Eye Contour Cream – Xtend-Life’s eye contour cream is made with a special citrus fruit extract that reduces fluid build-up, puffiness, and dark circles. If you use it daily, you’ll see a reduction in dark circles and crow’s feet. I’ve often found fruit extract based eye creams to be irritating because of my contacts but this one was not. In fact, it felt soft and silky. Of all the products I tried, I liked the eye contour cream the best.
Supplements – Taking the supplements along with the skincare regime is a sure-fire way to improve your skin. The Omega 3 Premium and Skin Support come in easy to swallow capsules, are pure, and contain ingredients we all need over 50. As they say, “It couldn’t hurt.” I’m looking forward to improved hair and especially nails because they’re getting brittle as I age.
