In addition to writing this blog, I’ve been teaching Baby Boomer business owners how to blog using self-hosted WordPress since 2010. It’s the best platform for bloggers out there. If you’re over 50, it’s a good bet you have plenty of wisdom to share, are working on a reinvention business or want to boost your retirement income. If not, you may just want to blog as a creative outlet to improve your writing skills or possibly publish a book. Whatever your motivation, I can help.
If you are looking for my old site, SharpBizImage.com you are in the right place. I am now using my main blog for my blogging business.
I’m in my mid-sixties and have been actively blogging since 2008. I managed to teach myself how to use WordPress and made plenty of mistakes. I’d like you to avoid all that. In 2010, I started a business to help Baby Boomer business owners and entrepreneurs set up, learn to operate and maintain their WordPress websites. Even if you aren’t interested in blogging, WordPress is the best platform to use for a website because it has so many functions (via plugins) and is easy to use. (after a little practice or tutoring)
You may already have a WordPress site but your webmaster left you high and dry or disappeared completely. If you have questions I will hold your hand and walk you through each step.

More and more Baby Boomers are on the Internet blogging their expertise and sharing it with others. It’s been exciting to meet many of them both online and in person. In the image below I got together with a group of travel bloggers and writers that I met at the Women in Travel conference. It took place in Irvine, California a couple of years ago. While we were at the conference we took a field trip to San Juan Capistrano.
My services include one on one WordPress tutoring, site setup, maintenance, editing, and help with monetization.
If you’d like to set up a meeting to discuss how we can work together you can view my calendar and schedule an appointment by clicking the button below.
It’s not that hard to learn how to blog
As a Baby Boomer, I didn’t grow up writing code but was able to teach myself how to set up and manage WordPress sites by myself. In fact, I amazed myself at how nerdy I was. It took me a while and I made plenty of mistakes along the way, but it’s been worth it.
Writing about what I love is a creative outlet for me and has become profitable for me as well. I love sharing my knowledge with others who enjoy writing or are promoting their own passion projects using WordPress.
I look forward to connecting with you.
