I put a new tagline on my blog logo that reads “Not Ready for a Rocking Chair but Ready to Rock!” because it’s how I feel about aging right now. In less than a month I’ll be 66. As a kid, I always that being over 60 was old, but now that I am it’s only old if you have that mindset.
I’m going to be featured on a new live-streaming TV show this Sunday called “Now It’s My Turn: Where the 50+ woman awakens her spark and en-joys her life” It will be on the Awake TV Network hosted by Lana McAra and I’m going to talk about my views about aging.
“We’re not our grandmothers. Let’s shift our perception of aging, stay healthy, and handle life’s challenges that throw us for a loop.”
Awake TV is an online network that broadcasts around the world where you can listen to a global team of teachers. Some of their topics cover metaphysics, health, wellness, medical science, physics, genetics, conscious parenting, science, spirituality, mediumship, and unity consciousness.
Lana is an intuitive healer, master channeler, energy artist, writer, and teacher. She’s written more than 30 books and is an award-winning, best-selling author and speaker. You can read more about her here.
I was so honored to be asked to participate and, to be honest, am a little nervous about what I’m going to say. As a long-time voice-over actress, it should be a piece of cake, but there’s a difference between having a script to read and talking on camera trying to sound intelligent.
We did a short 10-minute intro and Lana was so much fun to talk to I know my full episode will go well and that you’ll enjoy it.
When we first spoke on the phone she mentioned that she saw my tagline on the “About Page” of BabyBoomster.com, loved it, and suggested I write a book with that title. For the last 8 years, (since I launched my blog) I’ve been trying to figure out a great book title and it was right under my nose! Go figure!
Sometimes, you need someone to kick you in the butt, so I’ll be working on that for sure. With over 600 blog posts on this site about aging and living the best life you can, it shouldn’t be hard to put together.
I hope you’ll tune in. But, if you miss it, it will be online in perpetuity and as soon as I have the link I’ll post it here.
Wish me luck!
