The last time I had a fancy pair of sunglasses was when my daughter (now 30) was a baby and threw my red Ray-bans out of her stroller. Since then, I’ve only worn cheap shades bought in a drug store or Target. When I was offered the chance to try out a pair of high-end glasses from Glasses Gallery, I said: “Yes, please!”
I picked out a pair of Centrestage sunglasses that had pretty flecks of color on the frames. They immediately caught my eye. Then, I waited for them to arrive.
My Sunglasses Unboxing
I opened my package and found that my sunglasses were neatly packed in a smaller box. There was a soft eyeglass cover inside, and several other goodies including a USB flash drive shaped like a pair of glasses. Nice touch – I can always use one of those. There was also a return shipping label in case I wasn’t happy with my choice. Glasses Gallery lets you exchange anything you aren’t satisfied with or will give you a full refund within 30 days after its received.
I didn’t bother with that because, after trying on my sunglasses I fell in love with them. Well made glasses make a huge difference not only in comfort but also in how well you see.
Mine came with Grey gradient lenses, which means they darken at regular degrees. The changes in tint protect your eyes from the sun but allow greater visibility at the bottom of the lens. That makes them perfect for outdoors and indoors as well as for driving.
Glasses Factory also offers regular eyeglasses (transitions, progressive, bifocal, or single vision) and sports glasses. (mirrored or non-mirrored)
Advantages of ordering glasses online
It used to be you would go to an eye doctor, drug store, or high-end mall shop to buy glasses. That way you could try them on to make sure they fit. But, technology has advanced and it’s easier to buy and fit glasses or sunglasses online. There are more choices and you aren’t pressured by a pushy salesperson.
I’m not hot on trying on glasses in a store especially if they’ve been tried on by everyone and their brother. Who knows if they had a cold or the flu or if they were dropped several times on the floor and scratched? I like the idea of receiving a sterilized and pristine new pair of specs delivered to my door.
Comfort is essential
If my sunglasses aren’t comfortable, they end up stashed away in a drawer. I always avoid wire rims for that reason because they end up putting a dent in my nose. Both regular and wire rims are available at Glasses Gallery, but non-wire rims are my personal preference. My new sunglasses are super comfy and I know I’ll enjoy them for a long time.
Glasses Gallery sunglasses prices range from approximately $100 – $1000 so you know they won’t fall apart the minute you sneeze.
I always want to be honest when I write reviews of products, so you get the entire picture of a product. Perhaps the only downside of ordering sunglasses or glasses from Glasses Gallery is that they are shipped from Hong Kong. I didn’t find that to be an issue for me. They arrived promptly, were in perfect condition when they arrived, and I am happy with them.
