As a blogger, I get offers to have products sent to me to review. It’s a perk I enjoy because I’ve been able to try out some cool stuff. Even though I don’t often write about home goods, mostly because I live in a small apartment, I was happy that California Design Den asked if I would try out a set of their sheets.
The company sells high-quality 400 – 1000 thread count 100% organic all-cotton sheets and bedding in lovely ultra-soft colors and prints. I chose their Sunrise Lavender pattern because I love purple, especially in my bedroom.
I’d love to show you my big, luxurious, beautifully decorated bed, but I decided several years ago I wanted my own bedroom. We live in a small 2-bedroom apartment so in addition to my bed, which is a twin, I also had to squeeze in my desk and computer.
It’s not great Feng Shui but it works out better for me because Doug is a night owl and I’m a morning lark. I also love having my own space and privacy. My dog Minnie sleeps with me and we’re both very comfortable. Doug sleeps with his dog, Louie who occasionally ends up in my room too. When I babysit my granddog Hamlet it gets pretty crowded.
If you’re grossed out that we sleep with dogs, I’m sorry. Both our dogs are small and cuddly and Minnie sleeps next to my feet unless I get up to go to the bathroom. Then she spreads out and hogs the whole bed.
But, back to the sheets
The first thing I noticed after I unpacked my sheets and washed them (always a good thing to do first) is that they fit my bed perfectly. I ordered a Twin XL so there’s no danger the fitted sheet will tear when I pull it across my bed. The sheets are very soft and always feel fresh.
California Design Den prides themselves in “meticulously crafted, artfully designed sheets for every taste and décor. I love that they are committed to ethical and sustainable processes with ethically sourced materials, which means they aren’t made by trafficked slaves or horribly underpaid labor.
All of their sheets are hypoallergenic and certified free from harmful chemicals. That’s important because some manufacturers use chemicals that have a horrible smell and are toxic. I’m happy to say I recommend this company and hope you’ll check them out if you’re looking for sheets, bedding, and duvet covers.
