The isolation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic was making me antsy. At the time, I was living in a tiny room in someone else’s house and was feeling very confined. So, I decided to go on a search for gnomes.
Although you can look for them anytime, even when things are back to normal.
Our neighborhood had several gnomes including the house I was living in so I decided to go out and photograph them. It would give me something interesting to post on Instagram other than my take-out food.
Here are some of the gnomes I found. You’d think I lived in a community of Hobbits. And, you know when you’re looking for any particular thing, all of a sudden they show up everywhere.
Garden gnomes in the neighborhood
This guy is taking it easy laying on the grass. He doesn’t have a care in the world and couldn’t care less about the pandemic. All he has to worry about is if a dog lifts his leg on him but that’s about it.
I’m not sure what this guy is doing. It looks like he’s trying to tie a shoelace.
This gnome is in deep thought. Maybe he broke up with his fairy girlfriend or is thinking up some mischief.
These guys are between a rock and a hard place guarding the garden against intruders.
This guy is a real swinger.
So, there you have it. My day hunting gnomes. It was one thing to do while you’re going crazy during isolation.
