Ah, clothes! Dressing well is not always easy especially when your figure gets lumpy after middle-age. I’m always looking for something attractive to cover up my bulging belly and a stunning reversible travel jacket by Trimdin was just what I was looking for. (Note – I’m been working out relentlessly with a trainer for the last few weeks, so I’m expecting my excess lard to disappear fast)
My love of fine craftsmanship comes from my mother who was a meticulous dressmaker. Knowing the detail she put into each item she made, has made it hard for me to accept the shoddy work I’ve seen in manufactured clothes. However, I was impressed when my Trimdin reversible jacket arrived in the mail. The fabric on both sides is colorful and unique, but the way it was made had me sold.
The perfect place to show it off was at my quarterly wine club member social at Rosenthal Estate Vineyards. I wore it teal side up over black pants and a black shell top. When you have a tummy issue like I do, wearing black underneath covers up numerous flaws.
A couple of glasses of wine later, I turned the jacket inside out to the purple side, which has vertical lines and is even more slimming. Trimdin’s reversible travel jacket sleeves are purposefully long so you can roll up the cuffs and reveal the contrasting colors from the reverse side. That gives the jacket a little extra pizzaz.
If you love to travel as much as I do, packing a reversible travel jacket is a smart move. Wear one side one day and the other the next. Trimdin’s reversible travel jackets are made in the USA by artisans and come in either a short or mid-length cut. Each jacket’s durable fabric will last for years and the gorgeous color combinations are sure to make you stand out in a crowd.
Sizes come in XS, S, M, L, XL, and 1X. I found my XL to be roomy and comfortable, despite the excess belly. Styles include Classic Fall, Mid-length, Classic Spring, Ruffle, and Peplum with a variety of fabrics to choose from with each. You can also order artisanal buttons to complement your reversible travel jacket. Prices range from $169 – $209 and I believe it’s well worth it.
Disclaimer – Trimdin sent me one of their jackets to sample in exchange for this post. I will not receive compensation if you purchase one of their jackets. All my opinions are my own.
