I have compiled a list of my recommended books for Baby Boomer women on Amazon as well as several reading resources I’ve used and love.
Some of the novels and non-fiction books I recommend were written by midlife plus authors I’ve come to know because of my blog and the others speak to the Baby Boomer demographic by taking a nostalgic look back into the past to memorialize the Baby Boomer generation and our past foibles and accomplishments.
Many of the authors are over the age of 50. Older authors have more experience with life and sage wisdom to share. As retirement beckons, they’ve chosen to reinvent themselves as authors. Other books are written specifically for people who are 50 and over and address our concerns.
If you’re over 50, chances are you need reading glasses to enjoy a good book. Readers.com has a large selection of stylish and affordable glasses. Choose your power and style with ease.
Rather listen than read
I’m particularly fond of audiobooks because I can listen while I’m sitting in traffic, taking a walk, or doing housework. That way I can keep moving and not be sedentary.
If you find it hard to see the fine print on a book when you’re reading or would like to stay off the couch and active while you take in a story or information, this is a great resource to use.
Another alternative if your bookcases are full are eBooks
Ebooks is the web’s most popular digital book store with the largest range of commercially published ebooks available. With prices below hard copy books and the unique appeal of instantly downloadable books, sales at eBooks.com are growing exponentially. Download an eBook today.
The advantage of this reading resource is that you can keep your reading choices organized on your device rather than clutter up your space.
