Do you wear a watch as a rule? I admit I haven’t for a while. I usually check my phone but that means taking it out of my purse, swiping it, and then squinting to find the time. The advantage of wearing a watch is that all you have to do is raise up your arm. When Nordgreen Watches offered to let me try one of their designs, I happily obliged.
A beautiful watch is a fashion statement and Nordgreen’s watches have a Danish design that is minimalist and chic. Each watch can be purchased with interchangeable bands as a bundle. I chose the Philosopher style with a gray leather band.

It’s amazing how the ostrich skin on the valise matches my old hands but I wanted to show off my @nordgreenofficial watch. It’s made in Copenhagen and straps are interchangeable. This one has a gray leather strap and is part of their Philosopher collection. Review coming soon on my blog. They have so many beautiful watches to choose from. Shipping was super fast. So chic and much more attractive than digital. . . . #nordgreen #watches #scandinaviandesign #copenhagen #jewelry #lifestyle blogger #womenover50 #over50style #watch #nordgreenwatches #notahandmodel #danishdesign
Nordgreen Give-back program
For every order received, Nordgreen donates to help frontline medical and rescue workers who are fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.
Once your watch arrives, find the serial number engraved on the back of the watch face and identification number on the certificate of authenticity. Then, type them into a form on the give-back page of the Nordgreen website. It’s listed in the manual. You’ll see the causes Nordgreen donates to and can select which one receives the proceeds of your purchase.
Nordgreen is located in Copenhagen and at first, I was concerned that my order would take a while to arrive. I was surprised when it showed up within days. That’s important because foreign shipping has been taking weeks or even longer to arrive in the U.S because of the pandemic.
The Philosopher watch I picked out has a sleek, flat face and an analog display. It even has a small insert for the date, which I had a little trouble setting. I love its Danish design because it’s minimalistic and classy.
I chose a silver watch face with a gray leather strap. The Philosopher can also be purchased in rose gold, gunmetal, and gold. The variety of straps comes in numerous colors both in leather, vegan leather, mesh, and nylon.
Each watch is water-resistant, meaning it’s splash-proof. Don’t go swimming with it on. The movement is Japanese Quartz.
Jakob Wagner is the designer for Nordgreen Watches. He has worked with top jewelry companies like Alessi, Bang & Olufsen, Cappellini, and Moroso.
In addition to the company’s give-back program, all items come in sustainable packaging, the facilities are carbon-neutral, and responsible manufacturing is practiced.
Nordgreen Watches are available for both women and men and make gorgeous gifts. You can build gift bundles by choosing a watch face along with several straps.
Nordgreen’s sleekness of design is what captured me initially. I prefer simplicity over gaudiness and Nordgreen fits the bill.
I received a watch in exchange for this review but all my opinions are my own.
