Researchers from Australia and the UK have done studies that prove people who eat Mediterranean style meals have a better chance of living longer. The quality of the diet is what’s important. The Mediterranean Diet consists mostly of nuts, vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes, fish and limited amounts of meat. The participants, most of them over 65, were scored on the analyzed intake of foods, recommended foods, and the similarity to the Mediterranean Diet.
I’m a big fan of Mediterranean-style recipes. They’re not only healthy but amazingly tasty.

the key factors in this diet are: fruits, veggies, no refined/processed foods and good carbohydrates. Stick with those basic principles and you are golden. Oh…also olive oil. That keeps your heart running in tip-top shape.
I agree, and it’s so delicious too. If you follow the principle, you don’t have to think about it so much. Thanks for the comment.
